This luxury beach front hotel embodies the beauty of the ocean - the stylish contemporary architecture is decorated with marine themed touches that bring the outside world to life. Home to eight restaurants and bars, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island has plenty of dining options including an all-day dining venue, two signature restaurants, a lobby lounge and bar, a pool and beach bar and a sports lounge. Guests can also explore the 400 metre public beach and three swimming pools. Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island was developed under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan’s Projects Department.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly talented and experienced Hospitality professional to join as the Executive at Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island.
The main duties and responsibilities are as follows :
  • Oversee the  culinary processes, planning of menus and designing standard recipes to ensure consistent quality in food production, that meet guest expectations and contribute to the profitability of the hotel.
  • Ensure  all  tasks in the culinary operation’s  POP (Pre Opening Plan) are completed to ensure a successful opening according to Jumeirah Brand Standards.
  • Participate in the preparation of the Annual Business Plan to ensure  the culinary operation is adequately represented.
  • Ensure that HACAAP and other local regulations are adhered to ensure the  highest food hygiene standards.
  • Liaise with purchasing to ensure prompt and efficient purchasing,  food quality, issuing of supplies, stock control and inventory control.
  • Liaise with Stewarding to ensure an adequate supply of equipment, and to ensure kitchen cleanliness and hygiene meet the  required standards.
  • Liaise with Engineering to ensure prompt and efficient repair and maintenance.                   
  • Liaise with the Outlet Managers to monitor food quality, plan "specials" and to discuss operational problems.
  • Make recommendations to Management for modernization of equipment, service methods and presentation, to improve guest satisfaction.
 


The ideal candidate should possess the following.
  • BSc in Culinary Arts
  • Middle East exposure is beneficial
  • Able to lead a team
  • Self motivated and passionate about his job
  • Willingness to pass on knowledge to the entire team
  • Internationally approved Food Safety Certificate (HACAAP preferred)
